Focusing-oriented therapy can be defined as therapy that facilitates the client into their own experiential process. Research has shown that clients with higher experiencing levels recover, and make constructive changes to their lives, as compared to clients with lower experiencing levels.
These courses do not assume any prior knowledge of Focusing-oriented Therapy. There are a maximum of 10 participants on each course, and they will be run two Saturdays a month.
You will also be encouraged to enter in to a Focusing Partnership during the courses, and do some additional reading. All courses are taught in an experiential way, and participants will be encouraged to try out and experience Focusing for themselves, before use in their own therapeutic practise.
Each course builds on the knowledge and experience gained in the previous course. You can book one course at a time, and are not committed to taking the next course in the series.
This is an information sheet on the first of the 5 Courses. I envisage that the courses will be taught over a period of 5 months, with two days a month.
